Terms of service
Last updated 5 October 2026
These terms apply when you download, use or subscribe to Touchliner, the Mac app and iPad web page provided by Touchliner (“we”, “us”), United Kingdom. By using Touchliner you agree to them. Questions: hello@touchlinerapp.com.
1. Ordering and payment
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for all orders. Paddle.com handles payment, billing, sales tax and VAT, and provides customer service for billing enquiries and returns. Its own terms also apply to your purchase.
2. Trying Touchliner
You may try Touchliner without subscribing. The trial includes every feature and shows a “Touchliner · Free version” watermark on the TV display. You must not remove, hide or obscure the watermark other than by buying a license.
3. Subscriptions
- Subscriptions are monthly and renew automatically each month until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time using the link in your receipt email. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period already paid for.
- We may change prices for future periods. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects your renewal, and you may cancel before it applies.
- Promotional prices apply for as long as the subscription stays active without interruption.
- Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
4. Your license
- Each paid subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable license key to use Touchliner on one Mac at a time. You may move it to another Mac by deactivating it on the old one.
- You must not share, resell or publish your license key, or try to bypass licensing, activation or the watermark, or reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows.
- The app checks your license online from time to time and keeps working for up to 14 days without an internet connection. If your subscription ends, the watermark returns.
5. Using Touchliner
Touchliner shares the whole selected display with the iPad you pair, over your local network. You are responsible for what is shown on that display, for using a trusted network, and for having the rights to any footage you display, annotate or record. Touchliner does not record or store footage.
6. Updates and changes
Subscriptions include updates released during the subscription. We may add, change or remove features to improve Touchliner. We aim to support the current and previous major versions of macOS.
7. Third-party software
Touchliner is independent and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Hudl or any other video analysis software company. We cannot guarantee compatibility with every third-party app or with future versions of them.
8. Our liability
We provide Touchliner with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for business losses such as lost profits or data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Ending these terms
We may suspend or end your license if you seriously breach these terms (for example by sharing your license key). You can stop using Touchliner at any time.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
