In short: your footage and drawings never leave your local network. We only handle what we need to sell and license Touchliner.

Who we are

Touchliner, United Kingdom, is the data controller for the information described here. Contact: hello@touchlinerapp.com.

What stays on your devices

The TV picture, your drawings, the pointer and spotlight travel only between your Mac and your paired iPad over your local network. Touchliner does not upload, record or store footage, and contains no analytics or advertising trackers.

What we process

• Purchases: Paddle.com processes your name, email address, billing country, payment details and order history as our reseller and merchant of record. It shares with us what we need to provide your license (such as your email, order and subscription status). We never see your full card details.
• License activation: when you activate or check a license, the app sends your license key, an anonymous Mac ID (a one-way hash, not your Mac's serial number), the app version, and your IP address as part of the connection. We use these to confirm your subscription and enforce one Mac per license.
• Update checks: the app checks our website for new versions. Our host sees your IP address and app version.
• Email: if you contact us, we keep the conversation to help you.

Why (legal basis)

To perform our contract with you (providing and licensing Touchliner), for our legitimate interests (preventing license misuse, keeping the service secure), and to meet legal obligations (such as tax records).

Who we share it with

Paddle.com (payments and licensing), our website and hosting providers, and professional advisers where needed. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

License and purchase records for as long as your subscription is active and then for up to 6 years for tax and accounting purposes. Support emails for up to 2 years. Server logs for up to 30 days.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to its use, or receive a copy. Email hello@touchlinerapp.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

This website

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security.
